This is where my stories begin and where I invite you into the universe behind my high-fantasy series The Watcher of the Marllight.
Ever since I was a child, I have been inventing stories filled with distant lands, mysterious characters, and magical worlds. What once was a private passion has now grown into a series I’m excited to share with readers.
The Watcher of the Marllight Series
I am currently writing my debut high-fantasy series The Watcher of the Marllight (original Dutch title: De Waker van het Mergellicht).
The first book, The Manuscript of Silence (Het Manuscript van de Stilte), is in development. The story unfolds in a fully original fantasy world where mystery, rich atmosphere, and slowly building tension take center stage. Drawing inspiration from real Limburg legends and the dramatic landscapes of my home region, I’ve built a deep and immersive world.
The books are currently being written in Dutch, with English translations planned for the future.
What can you expect here?
For now, the website is primarily in Dutch. You can use your browser’s built-in translation tool to read the pages in English.
I will regularly share updates on the progress of the books, behind-the-scenes insights, world-building details, short fragments, and writing reflections (without spoilers). Whether you’re a dedicated fantasy reader, curious about the creative process, or simply enjoy following a story as it comes to life, you are warmly welcome here.
